Ring in the New Year at The Ranch at Rock Creek with an evening inspired by the glamour of the Roaring Twenties and the spirit of the American West. This New Year’s Eve, the Ranch takes on a gilded glow with candlelight, champagne, gold and brass accents, exceptional dining and live music.
The celebration extends throughout the weekend with special experiences including a champagne sabering class, a Discovery Ski Day at our local ski hill with wood-fired pizza, and a winter bonfire complete with s’mores. Guests are invited to dress for the occasion in glamorous, vintage-inspired Western attire with a touch of Gatsby flair. Enjoy a special culinary experience before the evening turns to live music and dancing. As the East Coast welcomes the New Year, we’ll celebrate here at the Ranch with a countdown, champagne and fireworks beneath the Montana night sky.
The Weekend Includes
Champagne Sabering Class 21+
Learn the art of opening champagne with a saber, a tradition with roots in Napoleon’s cavalry. We’ll share the history of champagne and how sabering became a celebratory ritual, then hand you the blade.
Turn Out of the Herd
Gather at the corner of Trapper and Paradise Roads to watch the horses run out across the winter pasture.
New Year’s Eve Supper
A celebratory dinner in the Granite Lodge Dining Room sets the tone for the evening ahead. Five elegant courses, with buttery wagyu Wellington or delicate salmon at the center, each one bringing you closer to midnight.
East Coast New Year Fireworks
Count down with the East Coast at 10:00 pm as fireworks light up the sky above the Silver Dollar Saloon.

The Silver Dollar Saloon stays open until midnight with drinks and good company to see the year out.
Discovery Ski Day & Alpine Outpost Lunch
Spend the day on the slopes at Discovery Ski Hill. After crisp, groomed runs, head down to the Ranch’s private Alpine Outpost at the base of the mountain for a hot French dip and creamy beer cheese potato soup, served fresh by our chefs.
Social Hour & Family Portraits
Capture the season together with family portraits in the Silver Dollar Saloon while drinks are poured.
New Year’s Day Movie Marathon
Ease into the new year with films playing all day in the Silver Dollar Saloon, no plans required.
Bonfire & S’mores Under the Stars
End the evening around the fire on the Granite Lodge Flagstone, toasting marshmallows under a clear Montana sky.
