The Ranch property is comprised of mountains, soft hills, meadows, pasture, forest, a mountain-fed creek and gravel roads. It is a short distance from the Beaverhead-Deer Lodge National Forest and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness Area, as well as Discovery Ski Area. Nestled at the base of the John Long Mountains, our 6,600 acres of ranch land also encompasses four miles of frontage along Rock Creek, a Blue Ribbon designated fishery that flows into the Clark Fork River. To the far south, soft rolling hills give way to snow-capped peaks of the Pintler Mountains. Northward, cottonwood trees stretch along the valley floor following the creek flowing deep into the Sapphire Mountains.

The Ranch is committed to ensuring the safety of our guests. Please visit our dedicated page to see our response to COVID-19 during activities and during your entire stay.

Yes! A couple can choose to dine in their accommodation for any or all of their meals.
For a small fee, or included in the elopement package, couples can dine on one of The Ranch’s vistas or secluded outdoor location (weather permitting). Please see our event venues for more information about these spaces.

As evidenced from the wide range of weather (see above) in the Montana Rockies, we highly suggest packing layers. Mornings and evenings in Montana are chilly, afternoons have warmer temperatures.
All equipment needed for activities is provided through Rod & Gun Club. However, we do suggest that you pack your own hiking boots, hats, sunglasses, gloves and other commonly used items to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. Riding boots with a one inch heel are recommended.
